Who We Are – DVBikersNetwork.org
Our purpose
Bring together beneficiaries of the DV lottery program past, present and future for purposes of networking as an organized group called the DVBikersNetwork organization. DVBikdersNetwork will organize annually a cycling event. At this event, immigrants who came to the USA on the DV Lottery program will demonstrate their contribution to the USA and nations of origin. The DVBikersNetwork will organize a cycling event open to all and including the beneficiaries’ families and communities they settled in.
The DVBikersNetwork has therefore been founded to create cohesion between the communities and immigrants who came to the USA. Through participation the aim of integration can be realized.
How will DVBikersNetwork bring this about?
The DVBikersNetwork aims to create cohesion among the communities. To achieve this organize a cycling event open to all including the beneficiaries and their families and the communities where they have settled in the USA.
Who will want to participate?
There are many cycling events in the USA but non with objectives similar to DVBikersNetwork.org.
Why will people want to participate?
Ever since the Immigration and Nationality ACT (INA) was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson who took up the cause after J F Kennedy was assassinated, who believed that immigrants were valuable to the country, the Immigration Act 1990 introduced the DV Lottery program. The DV Lottery program awards 50,000 visas every year to nationals from eligible countries allowing them opportunity to immigrate and live and work in the USA.
This information is little known among ordinary folk (who have to interact with the immigrants when they arrive in the USA) and also nationals from the eligible countries who in many instances fail to take up the opportunity believing the whole thing a scam. The USA being a nation of immigrants has long had facilities that cater to immigrants. But these are regulated to work under the cloak of structured and standard framework mostly known only to immigration officials.
what is different from similar bike events?
DVBikersNetwork aims to create space where immigrants link up with communities in all 50 States. Such links have potential for interaction which could open up opportunities among diverse cultures in each host state each year. Participants will also gain and/or add knowledge of the environment issues while benefiting from health and fitness aspect.
The DVBikersNetwork event will create awareness as well as appreciation of the program in the USA and nationals from eligible nations.

Any Awards?
DVBikersNetwork.org will launch its first event in Maryland on (dates)
Participants who complete the – distance will receive an award plague printed with a name of one of the Firsts – the giants on whose shoulders we all stand who laid the foundation upon which many achievers tread. The cyclist champion Marshal W Taylor Award (1887-1932) is DVBikersNetwork.org motivation launch. Taylor overcame racial barriers in the communities by cycling.
The difference from similar cyclists events
Money raised by DVBikersNetwork.org participants through sponsors will be donated to the host county (five-percent) where the event will take place. Following the example set by the DV Lottery objectives, i.e. seeking to improve the condition of nationals in eligible nations by offering an opportunity to live and work in the USA, DVBikersNetwork.org also aims to give back a greater percentage raised from the proceeds of the bike event towards purchase of educational scholastic materials (e.g. equip a library with books or establish one where non exists) or scientific laboratory equipment for use by secondary schools in subscribed members' country of origin.
Some countries (e.g. Uganda, Nepal, Congo) scientific educational materials and/or libraries the underprivileged secondary schools can access.
What are the benefits of becoming a DVBikersNetwork.org member?
DVBikersNetwrok.org every year plans to organize an event that will bring together past, and present beneficiaries of the DV lottery program. The annual event aims to motivate participants to engage with community at leisure, encourage health and fitness and cyclists may attain national or international recognition. DVBikersNetwork event presents an opportunity to give quantifiable value back to the new community and a sister community left behind through participation.

The DVBikeNetwork will schedule one event each year at a different venue which will give participants opportunity to learn about the environment in all fifty United States.
